The SBCC knows it is important for burn survivors to feel they are not alone in facing day-to-day difficulties. We aim to get the children and their families together as much as possible so that they can share and relate their experiences.
It is also important to have lots of fun and we combine the two by getting together for:
- Day trips
- Special events
- Visits to organisations.
Undoubtedly the highlight of the calendar is the week long summer residential activity camp.
Keep an eye on our facebook page for further info.

2018 – Our plans to date:
AGM 2018 & Family Party
Our AGM for 2018 took place on Sunday, 28th January 2018 – Deer Park Golf & Country Club, Livingston
It was an opportunity for the families to attend the AGM. After the ‘formalities’ of the AGM we arranged a children’s entertainer and once again Mr B Loon was able to come along. His balloon modelling was AMAZING.
We are looking to add some pictures soon.
Family Event: 1st July 2018: We are looking to arrange a party of a family day out. Once finalised a letter of invite will be sent to all families.
Summer Camp 2018: 23rd – 27th July 2018
This years Summer Camp for the 8 to 18 year olds, will be held from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July at an adventure centre near Kenmore. Letters will be sent to all eligible children around April/ May, we ask that completed forms be returned straight away.

Panto – Jack in the beanstalk
A Family day out to the Panto was held on 6th January 2018. Enjoyed by everyone who came along, we are looking to arrange another event in December 2018/ January 2019. Once details are finalised letters will be sent to all families. Since we will have to book tickets in advance, we ask that competed forms are returned straight away.
